Helena established her Academy in September 1976 in Tankerton, Whitstable. The Academy moved to their Studio at 70 Station Road in 1994.

Helena's passion is to give all who want to dance a chance to shine, no matter your ability or background. Helena specialises in teaching very young children, starting as young as 18 months, and she encourages and provides opportunities for all pupils to perform on stage, whether at competitive festivals, demonstrations, biennial show, or Mardi Gras in London.

Pupils are prepared for the RAD and ISTD Examinations in Ballet, Modern, Jazz and Tap grades, medals, and vocational levels. They are encouraged to participate in external dance activities, and successful pupils have auditioned and performed with the National Youth Ballet, English Youth Ballet, The London Children’s Ballet and Junior Associates of the Royal Ballet School, London Junior Ballet and Urdang Academy.

Pupils wishing to pursue a career in dance have gone on to full time dance and drama colleges including: The Royal Ballet School, White Lodge, The Arts Educational Schools, Performers College, Middlesex University, London Studio Centre, Roehampton University, Elmhurst Ballet School, Laine Theatre Arts, The Northern Ballet School, The Centre London, and The Legat School.
